News from the Wooden Duck (Marin and Berkeley):
It's already been 5 months since our October sale so I guess it's time to kick off this Spring with our best sale of the year. 2007-2008 has been our best year in our 14 year history and we have or loyal customers to thank for it cause it couldn't be the "great economy."
We have added storage space in our warehouse for OUTDOOR TEAK FURNITURE stock to ensure that we don't have to back order the sale items early on. Solid teak chairs start at just $62.50. Tables start for as little as $162.50. All the outdoor teak will be 1/2 off. With nearly twice the stock of last year (over 6,000 pieces), we hope that everyone leaves happy. Remember that if we run out of stock on the outdoor furniture you can always order it at the 50% off price during the SALE ONLY.
Bring your truck as we have indoor stock galore for this sale! With over 75 dining tables between the two locations this is the time to get a deal on a new Wooden Duck table. We have stock of over 2000 indoor chairs that we can match to these tables in our factory.
We have beautiful console tables with slab wood tops of various species and bases made from solid steel that was made on a plasma cutter. These are all unique and all very stunning pieces of wood.
We finally have stock of many of the Media Consoles (with sliding glass doors) that have become so popular since the introduction of the flat screen TVs. This proved to be our most popular category of indoor furniture last year as many of our customers have moved to the flat screen TVs and have nowhere to store their components.
For the first time in 4 years we've introduced 3 new styles of custom made Doug fir tables: The Napa, Sonoma and St. Helena. These will be on display in the Berkeley store and offered at (15% off order only). All the recycled Doug Fir table orders from the sale will be made from the Levi Strauss wood salvaged from the lower level of their original location on 250 Valencia St. This will be the last sale that this particular source will be offered.
Please come by and check out our new styles of stock "Fallen Dead" tables. These are tops made from wood salvaged from toppled trees from ranches and properties across Northern California. We will have over 40 tables on display from Cypress, Redwood, Bay Laurel, Elm and Doug Fir. The wood is all kiln dried and built with custom steel bases in our factory. Because of the long process (6 months) to prepare the wood, these items are STOCK only. No orders.
The ever popular "scratch and dent" sale will take place at 1801 Eastshore (the freeway building) during the 3 days of the sale (9am to 6pm only). We will have furniture that everyone can afford there. Come early to the factory building to make your best deal. This is at the FACTORY (freeway) location only.
Remember that we will be open at the Berkeley store and San Rafael store from 9am-9pm Friday through Sunday (9am to 6pm at the factory location).
If you know what you want and can't make the sale call one of the numbers below and we will be happy to take a phone order. If we don't pick up the phone during the sale simply leave your name and number (speak slowly) and we'll call you back in the evening to take your order.
If you would like to make an appointment with a specific salesperson between 6-9pm any one of the 3 sale days we can set up the appointment in advance. Please call us and tell us what your furniture needs are and we'll team you up with the most knowledgeable person. Make sure to specify which location at which you would like to meet. Please note appointments can only be between 6-9pm (Fri-Sun).
